Dean was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Rolf lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He married young, but lost his spouse to orcs. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: This man is very fat, and wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his monstrous two handed axe with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. His long red hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His eyes are a pleasant violet.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Adelard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Adelard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Soapmaker. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To unite with his sister.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. Lance abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he's looking for his big break
