History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress), and is pretty ugly. His hair is cut close to his head. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Guard. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Peter was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: To be a Bather again; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: An older man who wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty blue coat over it, he is not a threatening figure. His auburn hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. His eyes are a pleasant gray.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Through the years after Theodoric was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Theodoric's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is greedy.

Description: This fat northern man has a bulbous nose and wears suspenders and violet workpants. His shirt is pastel, and he wears a heavy violet leather apron most of the time. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His red hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a clover scrunchie. His fierce blue eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hugh embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. After a long history of fighting, Hugh and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Bertram was born with his mother's beautiful face. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He saw the violence of war and the aftermath so he converted to religion and dedicated himself to non-violence.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
