History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. During his travels, Bertram and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Bertram discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Bertram fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Slave Trader. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He struck the Stylist job and began his own company from there.
