History: Hugh was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He tends to his Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Crown-heir. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Roland was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.
