History: Gerald was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Aristocrat, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Aristocrat in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gifted student he started as a Bowyer, but he got bored and became a Mayor. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Healer, but he got bored and became a Carter. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and balancing his hectic life and new carter responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
