He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Mercenary arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Bernard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Bernard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
