History: He comes from a rich eastern family. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has never given up on his painting dream.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Locksmith arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. After coming to the age of reason, Roland took it upon himself to study the druidic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland.
