History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Geoffrey was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
