History: Born in the south to a Guard, Gerald learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He became a Guard soon after.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Don and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He is greedy.

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with wide-brimmed hat. He has styled his blonde hair well, parting it to the right. His eyes are likewise violet.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: Conrad hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
