History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Randal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. He has never given up on his singing dream.

History: Thomas lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Healer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he loathes his own lifestyle
