History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Bertram never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
