History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: Richard speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Richard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Richard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
