History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He bought a longbow and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
