History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ralf alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He takes great joy in being the best Merchant in town.

History: Conrad hails from a village terrorized by giants. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Shepherd they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Glassblower, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and to unite with his sister

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Gifted from a young age, Clerebold studied abroad. His necromantic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Clerebold fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands.

History: Born to a Ploughman, his father struggled to pay the bills. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
