He did whatever it took for him to survive. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, William grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and many gnolls want him driven away
