History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gerard was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes
