Bertram Barclay, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He prefers to wear brown clothing when he does not wear armor. His red hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.
Personality: He is fixated on the number 21. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.
History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Bertram took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up whip and armor he uses now. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
Ideals: Fighting. Flaws: Ugly, Insomniac, Insane. Bonds: Nature, Religious. Occupation: Spice Merchant
Voice: Slow speaker

Through the years after Theobald was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west.
