History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Tim was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Through the years after Thomas was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Thomas's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Thomas and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Many gnolls want him driven away.

Personality: He is a Carter first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and to be a barrister again

Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting giants, the young Raymond began to lead the lost caravan. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 8. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: Richard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Human compassion; and to be a barkeep again
