History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He very much looks the part of a Guard. His brown hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Hugh was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gifted student he started as a Brewer, but he got bored and became a Guard. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
