History: He got into the Carter business at a young age. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has worked as a Carter like his mother before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. William is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: Norman speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Born in the south to a Map Maker, Norman learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Map Maker for hire.
