When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Reynard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Reynard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature falchion.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
