History: Robert hails from a village terrorized by goblins. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Robert alone in the world. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

History: Hubert was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Warrior, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Warrior in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and he seems to be bored by most things
