History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Dilettante. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. Through the years after Conrad was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Conrad's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Hubert never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
