He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Hubert never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Miles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Animal Trainer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
