Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Through the years after Roland was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Roland's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Roland and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Description: With grey face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he wears a brown vest with golden trim over his white shirt. His green leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and his brown boots flare out at the collars. He wears a Stetson hat to hide his balding. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep hazel.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he is greedy

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. He wears a top hat to hide his balding. He has a tattooed face.

Personality: Balimaar is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Balimaar took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up falchion and armor he uses now. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: Shane was born the youngest of three triplets. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Ostracized due to the divine powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature halberd.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.
