Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving John alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Bertram was born the youngest of three triplets. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
