History: Gilbert lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
