History: Shane lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He found a children's book about a Human Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Herbalist they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Baker, and he later adopted a second son.
