History: Cory was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. Through the years after Kyle was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Kyle's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
