History: Born in the north to a Ruler, Shane learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Ruler. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Scribe they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Ruler, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. At some point he was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Bernard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
