History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Locksmith. He struck the Locksmith job and began his own company from there.

He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Thomas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
