Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.
