Personality: He is a Carter first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: Born to a Baker, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Carter for hire.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and to be a baker again

Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking eastern young adult. He wears tattered old clothes. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. He has done his best to style his black hair to look like a famous performer. His eyes are brown and beady.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Aldous was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

Personality: John hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. John enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

Description: He prefers to wear flannel. His deerstalker hat is riddled with cuts and holes. He has violet eyes and a red hat with a tan feather.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. His addictions have taken their toll on his wallet, and he has found himself with a great deal of debt owed.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
