Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature halberd.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, John's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. At a young age his father died while driving off some brigands. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in shield use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ernest was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Ernest was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Ernest's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. The war was a terrible time for him, and Heward does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Heward was born the youngest of three triplets. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
