When Dean reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He got into the Courier business at a young age. Through the years after Godfrey was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Godfrey's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Courier responsibilities is difficult.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: Thomas hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Thomas was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To protect his home; and to clean up the streets
