Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. He wears a small hat to hide his balding. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep gray.

Personality: Adelard is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Cook and was forced into it by his family; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has worked as a Doctor like his father before him.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and many dire rats want him driven away

He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.
