History: He was born in the south. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He became a Miner soon after.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has achieved small success as a Mason.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Shane was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
