History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Bernard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Bernard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Weaver father left him crippled. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Gerard was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Adept, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Gerard abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
