History: Charles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Ruler they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Mortician, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Mortician and was forced into it by his family.

He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Aldous was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Aldous's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
