History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Dustin has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He got into the Layabout business at a young age. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. A gifted student he started as a Gardener, but he got bored and became a Jeweler. He has achieved small success as a Jeweler.
