History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Dean was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Dean was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gifted student he started as a Unemployed, but he got bored and became a Miller. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: Reynard hails from a village terrorized by drow. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. He has taken up work as a Blacksmith and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it
