Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Cartwright. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Ernest was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. After a long history of fighting, Ernest and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Mercenary and was forced into it by his family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
