History: Simon was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Barbarian, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Barbarian in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Barbarian who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Born to a Sailor, his father struggled to pay the bills. A freak accident while working with his Sailor father left him crippled. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Engraver.

Motivation: Expand his business; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and retire the richest man in the north

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His childhood dream was to be a Server, but he was a colossal failure. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new apothecary responsibilities is difficult
