History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. His parents enrolled him in a Monk school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Bernard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
