Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Lance's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. John was born on a far southern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Miner. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Layabout work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He struck the Layabout job and began his own company from there.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He is content; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
