History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Gunter was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Cartwright. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Ralf is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Ralf alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
