History: Alex lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Alex was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Mercenary for hire.

History: Born in the north to a Unemployed, Roland learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his youth he was a Fisher, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger sister on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to unite with his brother
