History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: This man stands a little under 5'8" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He is well dressed, constantly wearing a white suit, black shirt, and tan tie. His black hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Aldous was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
