History: He was born into a rich family. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up work as a Ruler and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
