History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gilbert grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. During his travels, Gilbert and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Gilbert discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Gilbert fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Gifted from a young age, Drogo studied abroad. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has never given up on his writing dream.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and retire the richest man in the east

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. The war was a terrible time for him, and Gerard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
